A recipe so moreish you’ll be making this all summer long! We love combining seafood with honey for a seriously delicious savoury treat and this soy sauce, garlic and honey based marinade is unmatched by any other we have tried.

Try it out for a lunch or dinner, tossed through with some fresh rocket or cook up some broccolini to have alongside. Add a sprinkle of lemon zest over top and you’ve got yourself a winner that family and friends are sure to love.

I N G R E D I E N T S :

Serves four

  • 1/2 cup honey (try our Lemon or Ginger infused for an extra flavour kick, otherwise our Manuka is the perfect solution)

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 lemon, zested and juiced

  • 0.5kg large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 2 Tbs butter

  • Handful of rocket to toss through the shrimp (optional)

  • Micro herbs to garnish (optional)

  • Pepper to season

M E T H O D :

  1. Whisk the honey, soy sauce, garlic and lemon together in a small bowl. Place the shrimp in a snap-lock bag or shallow dish and add half of the marinade to the shrimp. Allow to marinate for 30 minutes.

  2. Add the butter to a medium sized pan and heat up on a medium heat. Add the shrimp and turn up to a high heat and cook just until they turn pink (1-2 mins each side)

  3. Turn the heat to medium and add the rest of the marinade to the pan. Cook until the sauce thickens a little and coats the shrimp nicely.

  4. Remove from the heat and spoon the shrimp over a bed of rocket. Toss through gently and then pour over the remaining sauce in the pan. Sprinkle with the lemon zest, micro herbs and season with pepper. Enjoy!
